The Opportunity<\/p>\n

A rolling, application-based<\/em> apprenticeship<\/h2>\n

The Forge offers an ongoing apprenticeship for those who want to live and work directly on a six-acre permaculture sanctuary beside Kilauea Volcano. Apprentices work alongside our on-site team, learning hands-on permaculture practice, land stewardship, and the day-to-day operations of a working off-grid community.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

A Living Sanctuary<\/p>\n

Old growth forest, a lava tube, off-grid systems<\/em><\/h2>\n

Apprentices live and work within old-growth Ohia and Hapu’u forest, minutes from a national park trailhead, on land powered by rain catchment and solar. It’s demanding, hands-on work in one of the most singular places on the island.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
